The Harbour Commissioners
Strategic Objectives
The Newport Harbour Commissioners aims are:
- to run an efficient and effective port operation for the benefit of all stakeholders.
- to fulfil its statutory responsibilities whilst meeting the changing needs of the marine sector and others with an interest in port activities.
- to maximise the quality and value for money of its services in order to maintain existing business and to attract new business to the port.
- to meet the national standards as set out in the Government's 'Modernising Trust Ports - A Guide to Good Governance'.
The Newport Harbour Commissioners have established an Advisory Body which the Commissioners will consult on all matters substantially affecting the management of the harbour and its navigation.
